Infiltrative basal cell carcinoma
I recently went to the doctors office for circular type sore near my mustache/nose area. The sore was becoming worse and didn't seem to want to heal. I went to the doctors office, who suspected skin cancer. The edges seemed to be bubbled or blistered looking on the sore on very close scrutiny.
The Doctor performed a biopsy by, having a nurse give me a local anesthetic shot near the sore to numb it, then the doctor took a sample with a scalpel. Tests were done to confirm infiltrative basal cell carcinoma.
He prescribed 14 radiation treatments to the area.
